I finished making this sweet bear while Despicable Me was on TV...so I decided that I would name her Edith, after one of the little girls in the film.
She is just about 15 inches tall and is made from individually hand dyed wavy mohair which is extra dense.
She has black glass eyes to which I have added needle-felted detailing and shading to create a sweet expression. I stitched her chestnut brown nose which I then shaded and sealed with satin varnish.
She has wool felt paw pads which I have shaded and sculpted.
I finished her look with a sweet floral hair band in pale pink roses.
