The big reveal next week!

Next week I will be revealing the 3 bears that will be available on the SILLY BEARS stand at Hugglets next month. I will be posting photos on Wednesday so you can see what I have been up to. Those bears will be available for adoption through Silly Bears so if you are interested do get in touch with them via the website www.sillybears.co.uk

At the moment I am working very hard on the 10 bears for the Silly Bears artists signing on the 6th October. I am very excited to be asked back this year as this is a complete honour. I never look upon it as a right of passage since Julieann works with so many brilliant artists I would not know how I would pick people to represent the company if I were in her shoes.

I won't be able to show photos of those bears because it's a shop event and bears will go online on the shop website at 3 pm.

In between I am trying very hard to do a small bear for my own website but that may not be possible as I am flat out working on the shop bears! But do watch this space as I might find a few hours here and there to squeeze one in!

Liberty...a pretty bear available

I am delighted to introduce a new design to my portfolio. This is Liberty who is 11 inches tall and has a very different head shape to my usual bears. I  made a completly new pattern for this bear as I wanted a slightly more traditional look but I still wanted to keep my signature features.
This bear is made from an alpaca mohair blend in a lovely gold. It is a short dense pile and I have scissor sculpted the muzzle to give a nice profile. I have also added a russet bloom to the cheeks for a sweet look.
Liberty has needle sculpted and shaded wool felt paw and foot pads and I made a soft bow from soem very fine Liberty print cotton which suits him beautifully.

I hope that this will be the first of this design as, like my Nursery style of bears , I feel that this is a great addition to my collections.
Liberty's adoption fee is £265 inluding UK postage. For Europe and the Republic of Ireland add £7.50 and for the rest of the world £12.50

LIBERTY HAS BEEN ADOPTED...HUGE THANKS

Lu-La Baby Bear Available now

This is my latest project. This is Lu-La Baby Bear who is 7 inches tall and has her own sweet crib to snooze in. I gave her drowsy eyes ...her lids close just enough to give her a drowsy look for when she beds down for the night. The crib is a hand made pine once which dates back to around the 1930s. My husband treated it and we painted it with chalk paint and then waxed it several times for a shabby chic look.
Lu-la has peach wool felt foot pads which I have shaded and sculpted..and she has needle felted detailing to give her a pretty baby look.

LU-LA HAS BEEN ADOPTED ...MANY THANKS!!!

Tucker....a sweet little cub!

This 11 inch bear is called Tucker. He is made from beautiful Schulte faux fur in a very dense cream which is very soft and tactile.
He has needlefelted eye detailing , sculpted wool felt paw pads which I shaded. I also added lots of shading to his muzzle and eye area for added expression.

I made himm a sweet little stripey cotton collar trimmed with a wool/silk lining in chocolate brown and finished off with a vintage button in a matching shade.

This little bear is very special with his wide eyed look and sweet expression.
I think he will look lovely in any hug!
His adoption fee is £325 including postage to UK addresses, for European and the Republic Of Ireland add £5 and for the rest of the world add £10.

TUCKER has now been adopted...huge thanks!!

Ickle Pearl available now

I am very late with this sweet baby but she took longer than planned! Her name is Ickle Pearl and she is made from Schulte viscose in ivory. I have needle felted a very sweet face, which I hand shade in taupe colours and gave her a faintly smiley open mouth ..she has quite a happy look and is, though a teeny 7 inches, she is a regular little cuddle bundle.
She has glass eyes and is 5 way jointed, a wobble neck joint gives her extra cute posing possibilities. I gave her taupe wool felt paw pads.

Her adoption fee including UK postage is £185, I can post tio Europe for an additional £5 and to the rest of the world for £10.

Do get in  touch if you have any questions!

Ickle Mo....available now!

To Celebrate the 2012 Olympic Games I am delighted to introduce Ickle Mo. This sweet little bear measures just under 6 inches and is made from pale gold Schulte viscose.
He has a sweet needlefelted, expressive face which I have hand shaded. He has shaded and sculpted felt foot pads in grey brown.
He is just a handful and I have weighted him with steel ball bearings for added stability.
He is wearing a purple winning ribbon with a vintage gold medal attached, bearing the words 'GOOD LUCK' ...so I hope he will be someones good luck charm!

Though I am not known for creating aged bears, prefering my newly made characters to acquire their own true provenance, this little bear has a dishevelled look  which gives him a slightly aged look...which  is quite different from my regular designs. So I am hoping someone out there will love him enough to give him a home amongst their hug! It is always hard when doing a new design because while I like to push the envelope it's not always what collectors expect, or want. My last lttle bear, though slightly bigger, was very much in the same vein and I do hope that these sweet little souls will become a Three O'Clock staple in the future as I very much enjoy the hand sewing and the teeny-ness ( if that is a word!!)  of their personality!
His adoption fee is £175 and includes UK postage. European and Republic of Ireland address are £5 postage and the rest of the world £10. Click on the correct amount from the drop down menu below to include postage.
